About

Kent Bagnall

Hi everyone, I'm Kent (Dad), a semi-retired artist living just a few minutes off the Route in mid-Missouri. I've lived within 10 miles of Route 66 for 70 years. I've had many careers over the years, from Civil Engineer to Jeweler to Radio Host, but I've always been an artist.

Dad's Stuff (or Dad'stuff) started as the cards that I'd make for my wife and daughters (2 from my wife and I and 11 foreign exchange daughters). Then I started making the birthday cards for all of our friends to get every year and now I'm making cards and art to celebrate my unique connection to Route 66.

In 2013, my younger daughter was headed off to college so we took her last summer home as on opportunity to take one last big trip. She and I drove out to California on Route 66 in about 2 weeks, camping or staying in KOA cabins or hotels along the way. We did the trip to Chicago the next year officially. That trip was the spark that really got me excited about this amazing piece of American history.
